Paris Toulouse GMT

In March I was traveling in europe and mostly left my work back at home. But on a train from Paris to Toulouse I pulled out my laptop and doodled up a quick sketch of a GMT watch. The doodling included drawing my own font for the watch and then sculpting the case design around a Sellita SW330 Automatic movement.

Over the next few months I tinkered with the design and started prototyping the dial, hands and case. Prototype one was completed in late October 2024. Since then I’ve continued work on the design, and made some improvements and I’m now pre-releasing a limited run of 10 of these unique timepieces.

The entire watch, case, crown, dial and hands are carved from grade 5 titanium. The case is 38mm in diameter and 9.35mm thick with a lug to lug measurement of 47mm The dial is ceramic coated and features recessed hour number markers filled with the latest Superluminova X2 lume. The hour and minute hand are raw titanium finish and the GMT hand is anodized blue. The sweep second is ceramic coated a morning sun yellow.

As with my other watches, this is made to order with an approximate lead time of four months.

The crown shown the in the images is a 7mm design borrowed from the Orbital Chronograph. For production versions the crown will be the 6.5mm version from the Model 255. This is a better fit for the slim GMT case.
